What is ZINGSA?

The Zimbabwe National Geospatial and Space Agency is a wholly government-owned entity established under the Research Act [Chapter 10:22]. Officially launched in 2021, ZINGSA promotes the peaceful use of space and applies geospatial technologies for national development. Read about us.

What satellites has Zimbabwe launched?

ZIMSAT-1, Zimbabwe’s first satellite, entered service in November 2022 for drought monitoring, mining mapping, crop health, and weather support. ZIMSAT-2 expands national Earth observation capability. Programs.

How do I access the CORS network?

What is NSDI?

The National Spatial Data Infrastructure standardises and integrates spatial data across sectors so government, industry, and researchers can plan with shared geospatial intelligence. NSDI overview.

Where can I see Earth observation applications?

ZINGSA applies space and geospatial data to agriculture, wetlands, disaster management, mining, and national planning. Applications hub.

What is space weather monitoring?

Space weather describes conditions that can affect GNSS, satellites, and communications. ZINGSA researches ionospheric conditions and scintillation over Zimbabwe. Space Weather.
