CNC Machining

Two weeks. Real machines. Job-ready CNC skills.

Two weeks. Real machines. Job-ready CNC skills.

Learn CNC machining where precision is the day job. In ten intensive days you’ll master CAD/CAM and cut real metal on a live 4-axis CNC machining centre — taught by the working precision machine shop inside Zimbabwe’s national space agency. Small cohort, real drawings, real tolerances: you leave able to take a part from drawing to finished, inspected component.

What you’ll learn

  • Read engineering drawings and tolerances like a machinist.
  • Model parts and generate professional toolpaths in CAD/CAM software.
  • Set up, offset and safely run a CNC vertical machining centre.
  • Choose the right tooling, speeds and feeds for the material and cut.
  • Measure your work with micrometers, calipers and dial indicators — and prove it with a dimensional report.
  • Run a complete job, end to end, to a real workshop job card.

Who it’s for

Engineering students, apprentices, fabricators and plant technicians — no prior CNC or CAD experience needed.

You’ll leave with

  • A ZINGSA Certificate of Completion.
  • A machined part you made yourself.
  • A portfolio drawing and CAM file to show employers.
