Learn robotics where engineering meets space technology. In this practical introductory programme, you will design, wire and programme a mobile robot, integrate real sensors and motors, and complete an autonomous planetary-rover challenge. Taught by the Space Engineering Department inside Zimbabwe’s national space agency, the course combines essential theory with extensive supervised laboratory work.

  • Understand the core components and operating principles of robotic systems.
  • Build safe electronic circuits and assemble a mobile robot chassis.
  • Programme a microcontroller to read sensors and control motors.
  • Develop line-following, obstacle-avoidance and basic autonomous behaviours.
  • Test, troubleshoot and present a complete robotics project.

The Robotics Introductory Practical Programme takes learners through design, integration, programming and a final autonomous mission — building the same problem-solving mindset used in satellite systems, UAV operations and national space engineering at ZINGSA.
