UAV Maintenance

Two weeks. Real drones. Job-ready UAV maintenance skills.

Two weeks. Real drones. Job-ready UAV maintenance skills.

Learn drone maintenance where precision and flight safety are paramount. In ten intensive days, you’ll master flight systems, electronics, diagnostic fault-finding, precision soldering, structural repairs, and advanced composites on actual professional-grade unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) — taught by active aerospace engineers inside Zimbabwe’s national space agency. Small cohort, fully practical workshops, real-world fault scenarios: you leave completely prepared to inspect, maintain, and certify drone airworthiness.

What you’ll learn

  • Inspect, service and troubleshoot UAV flight systems on professional-grade platforms.
  • Diagnose electronics faults and test avionics with structured diagnostic procedures.
  • Carry out precision soldering and component-level repairs safely.
  • Perform structural repairs on airframes, arms, and mounting assemblies.
  • Work with advanced composite materials used in modern drone construction.
  • Apply airworthiness principles to inspection, maintenance records, and certification readiness.

Who it’s for

Engineering students, apprentices, technicians, drone operators, and maintenance staff — anyone who needs practical skills to keep professional UAVs flight-ready. No prior maintenance certification required; enthusiasm for hands-on technical work is essential.

You’ll leave with

  • A ZINGSA Certificate of Completion.
  • Hands-on experience maintaining professional-grade UAVs in supervised workshops.
  • Documented maintenance logs, diagnostic records, and portfolio evidence for employers.

About the course

Small cohort. Hands-on training. Airworthiness focus.

The UAV Maintenance course mirrors the same rigour ZINGSA applies to national drone operations — combining practical workshop sessions with real fault scenarios so learners build confidence inspecting, repairing, and documenting professional unmanned aerial systems.
